The anticipated third edition of Indie Winter by Indie Alma took place at Alliance Française de Lusaka in Longacres, along Alick Nkata Road.
The theatre at the learning centre offered an intimate acoustic atmosphere as the band warmed up for the show, with attendees steadily filling the seats. Family, friends, and fans eagerly awaited the 3 p.m. showcase.
Artists Natalie, Lumba, Flowerboytee, Mak Jamie, Tauya, Weily, Timotheus, and Lucas Huckaby graced the stage alongside instrumentalists Izaac Music, Nicholas, Nathan, Joshua Anderson, and Chris K.
Crowd favourites and deeply personal tracks—many inspired by family and friends—were performed, with several being showcased publicly for the very first time.
Making her debut, Lumba with Stasis Prey Band elevated the showcase with vocals that blended seamlessly into the band’s electronic sound. Lucas Huckaby delivered an unforgettable set, while returning acts Weily, Tauya, Mak Jamie, and Timotheus once again proved why their performances remain timeless. South Africa’s Soweto-born Flowerboytee earned applause with each song, and Natalie captivated the audience every time her fingers danced across the guitar and her voice filled the theatre.
The music-filled evening closed with a connection segment, where attendees shared highlights of the three-hour experience. Indie Winter III felt like a moment worth preserving in a time capsule—an afternoon of great music shared among great people.
Looking ahead, Indie Alma will present Indie SZN 25 on 29th August 2025, streaming online across all platforms. Other upcoming programs include Karaoke Nights, Indie Summer III: Market Experience, and Indie Worship (dates to be announced).
